Laura Benson Counsel

Laura Benson counsels clients in the areas of estate planning, tax and wealth transfer planning, and trust administration. Her practice includes structuring and preparing wills and trusts, entity formation, administering trust estates, and advising clients on community property matters. Drawing on her extensive experience, Laura is adept at balancing the competing concerns that arise between California property tax issues and gift, estate, and income tax issues. Laura brings a thoughtful and holistic approach to advising clients on their planning arrangements with an eye toward meeting clients’ planning objectives in a tax-efficient manner, while preventing family conflict.

Prior to trust and estate planning, Laura represented institutional lenders in secured and unsecured financing transactions with a focus on commercial real estate finance.
