Overview

Kurt Neumann is a partner in Perkins Coie’s Corporate group with a broad transactional practice and a particular focus on debt finance transactions.  He handles a wide variety of complex financial transactions in the areas of commercial finance, structured finance, financial asset securitizations, new markets tax credits and public finance.  Since lateralling from New York to Perkins Coie in 2006, Kurt has represented clients, including public companies, private companies, family offices and municipalities, in lending transactions and financings in excess of $30 billion, often in the hotel and hospitality sector.

He has extensive experience structuring transactions and representing clients in credit facilities, senior and subordinated debt financings and mezzanine loans.  Kurt frequently advises clients in a wide variety of industries in connection with credit facilities and bank loans secured by a broad range of collateral, including equity, real property, hedge fund interests and fine art.  He has also served as counsel to new market tax credit recipients, including the negotiation of loan documents for allocatees.  In addition to corporate clients, his practice extends to public finance transactions where he acts as bond counsel and issuer’s counsel for municipalities, nonprofit corporations, government agencies and he also counsels investment banking firms as underwriter’s counsel.
