Julien Bowers Partner

Julien Bowers represents clients in complex technology, data, intellectual property, and privacy transactions, including SaaS, software, reseller, professional services, and distribution agreements. As the former lead technology and outsourcing counsel at a Fortune 50 company, Julien brings to his practice a deep understanding of the importance of balancing the need to protect clients’ unique legal interests while also meeting the business teams’ requirements to get deals accomplished quickly. He has assisted some of the nation’s largest corporations in implementation of new technologies in connection with company-wide digital transformation efforts, including transactions involving data licensing, collection, and analytics implemented by clients to recognize new efficiencies.

Julien’s experience includes a detailed understanding of data privacy, including GDPR compliance and security matters relating to technology transactions. He also advises clients on the intellectual property aspects of new product developments and cutting-edge technology as well as the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Julien’s technology experience includes strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives, including information technology and business process outsourcing transactions, and complex software, cloud computing, systems integration, and other technology transactions.
