Jillian litigates for clients throughout the United States and around the world, with a particular emphasis on matters that require judicial intervention and high-stakes negotiations. Clients turn to Jillian for their most pressing issues, including those relating to aviation, e-commerce, employment and shareholder disputes, and intellectual property, as well as when they need to conduct a sensitive, confidential internal investigation.
Jillian handles large-scale litigations, including managing e-discovery, navigating procedural disputes, drafting dispositive motions, taking depositions, and helping to prepare for trial. She has spent a considerable amount of time in the courtroom and practices both in state and federal court throughout the country. In addition, Jillian has second-chaired a consolidated federal jury trial, from drafting the complaint through verdict and settlement.
Throughout her career, Jillian has made a commitment to the Chicago community, volunteering as a guardian ad litem in minor child and adult disabled guardianship matters before the Cook County Probate Division, and volunteering with a number of community-based youth programs throughout the city.
An alumna of University of Michigan and Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Jillian served as a judicial extern to Judge Ronald A. Guzman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
