Jared H. Bryant Associate

Jared Bryant has experience helping brands, from startups to top Fortune 500 companies, to navigate complex state, federal, and local laws governing various marketing, advertising, promotions, consumer protection, copyright, trademark, and right-of-publicity legal issues. Jared's experience includes counseling brands on truth-in-advertising, advertising claim substantiation, endorsements, deceptive pricing, health and wellness claims, recurring subscription programs, cause marketing, native advertising, and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules and guidelines. He also frequently drafts rules for contests, sweepstakes, and related games, and provides counsel on how to structure promotional offers to comply with state and federal laws.

In addition to his counseling practice, Jared regularly reviews ambassador, social media influencer, and other agreements, as well as marketing copy for companies in a wide range of industries, and provides trainings, presentations, and CLEs to brands on a variety of marketing law topics.

While earning his J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center, Jared clerked at the NASA Headquarters Office of the General Counsel, where he supported the Commercial & Intellectual Property Law practice by performing legal research and assisting with a variety of projects. Jared also volunteered as an intake intern at the D.C. Employment Justice Center, conducting interviews with low-income residents involved in workplace legal disputes and drafting legal documents. Prior to attending law school, Jared worked as a software tester in the interactive entertainment industry.
