As the Chief Diversity, Inclusion & Opportunity Officer, Genhi Givings Bailey works with other Perkins Coie leaders and members of firm management to advance the firm’s long-held commitment to the values of diversity, inclusion, and opportunity for all, and to embed inclusive practices into all the ways in which the firm runs its business.
Previously, Genhi led the strategic diversity and inclusion efforts at another large law firm for more than 10 years, during which time the firm received numerous awards and recognitions for its progress. She is a former music lawyer and holds a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law (formerly William Mitchell College of Law).
Genhi believes that creating and fostering more inclusive and collaborative workplaces and communities is everyone's responsibility, and she consistently works to encourage people to learn more—and to do more—to advance the principles of diversity, inclusion, and opportunity.
