Overview

Fiona Brophy provides a broad range of services to some of the most innovative emerging companies and the venture capital (VC) funds that invest in them, including in the areas of consumer e-commerce, digital media and entertainment, information technology, cloud services, and robotics. She represents startup companies through all phases of their existence, serving as counsel from formation and venture financing to day-to-day operations and their ultimate exit.

Fiona has advised private companies and VC funds in hundreds of transactions, including VC financing and private equity transactions, debt financings, complex restructurings, and spin-off transactions. She has a robust mergers and acquisitions (M&A) practice, advising private companies on the sell side and serial public and private company acquirors. Fiona is nationally recognized by Chambers and Partners as a leading lawyer in startups and venture capital, and by the Legal 500 for her M&A skills.

In addition to serving clients, Fiona has held numerous leadership positions within Perkins Coie, including as co-chair of the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice group, chair of the firmwide Partner Compensation Committee, and in various other firmwide committees.
