Dan L. Bagatell Partner

Firmwide Chair, Federal Circuit Patent Appeals Practice



Dan Bagatell's practice focuses on appeals in patent cases and other disputes involving complex technology. Dan chairs the firm’s Federal Circuit patent appellate practice and regularly briefs and argues cases in appellate courts around the country. Dan also writes and edits critical trial-court papers such as Markman briefs, summary judgment motions, preliminary injunction motions, and post-trial briefs. Clients often enlist Dan to work on special projects such as amicus briefs, case analyses, and white papers. Dan was elected to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers in 2019.
