Overview

Chris assists families, professional athletes, entrepreneurs, family offices, and financial institutions with planning for and navigating generational transfers of wealth, businesses, and real property. By developing comprehensive estate and business succession plans, Chris helps clients arrange for their desired transfer of assets; limit their liability; and minimize the impact of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.

Chris has significant experience administering complex trusts and estates and regularly appears in the probate and chancery divisions of Chicago-area courts. A former litigator, Chris is experienced in identifying potential sources of tension among family members and is well-versed in developing immediate and long-term practical solutions to minimize the potential for disputes.

As a lifelong athlete, Chris enjoys working as part of a team to achieve his clients’ goals and frequently collaborates with other professional advisors.

Chris lives in Wilmette with his wife, two young children, and dog, and plays recreational ice hockey in his spare time.
