Caroline Mew is an experienced litigator who represents clients from diverse industries in complex civil litigation in federal and state courts across the country. She has litigated a wide range of commercial matters, including breach of contract, defamation/product disparagement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of fiduciary duty cases.
Caroline also has significant experience assisting clients across various industries with navigating the federal regulatory landscape. She counsels companies on regulatory compliance, advises companies in evaluating and/or asserting challenges to federal regulatory action under the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), and defends companies in private litigation and federal enforcement actions challenging statutory and regulatory compliance.
Caroline advises clients on alternative dispute resolution and has successfully litigated the enforcement of arbitration agreements in employment, medical malpractice, and other disputes. She has experience in domestic and international arbitration proceedings.
Caroline has over two decades of experience working with higher education clients and is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA). She has particular practice depth representing standardized testing companies in copyright infringement matters and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) litigation.
Caroline is active in pro bono matters and is co-chair of the Washington, D.C., office’s Pro Bono Committee.
