Barry G. Stratford focuses his practice on commercial litigation matters, primarily defending clients in multiparty cleanup litigation under Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and related state laws, as well as antitrust investigations and cases. He also handles disputes involving trade secret misappropriation, trademark and copyright infringement, construction liability, product liability, and contract and business torts. He has experience counseling both large and small companies throughout the various stages of civil litigation, including representing clients in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels.
Barry regularly engages in litigation requiring the collection and processing of electronic discovery and forensic computing analysis. With extensive experience managing large cases with significant discovery needs, Barry uses the latest technology to create a customized e-discovery litigation plan for every client.
Passionate about contributing to the community, Barry maintains a robust pro bono practice, including litigating civil rights issues and helping LGBTQ+ individuals with immigration matters. He represented same-sex couples in overturning Arizona’s discriminatory marriage ban and successfully tried a pro bono case in federal court under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA).
