A. Buke Hiziroglu graduated cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, receiving jurisprudence achievement awards in advocacy, international intellectual property (IP), IP practicum, and cybersecurity and data protection. She served as articles editor of Michigan State Law Review and launched the online edition of the law review, MLSR Forum, as co-chair of the journal’s online platform committee. Buke also authored “The Code: Cybersecurity Issues Surrounding Automated and Autonomous Vehicle Technology” for the same publication.
Prior to law school, Buke earned her B.S. in electrical engineering, magna cum laude, from Kettering University, during which she was an electrical engineering co-op with Terumo Cardiovascular Group. Buke went on to earn her M.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where she gained extensive knowledge in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and semiconductor device fabrication.
Buke was a summer associate at Perkins Coie in 2020 and 2021. She also was a judicial extern for the Honorable David W. McKeague of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and a part-time law clerk at a Detroit-based IP boutique law firm.
