Antoine McNamara is a senior counsel in the firm's Intellectual Property practice, focusing primarily on patent litigation. His cases involve a wide range of technologies, including video streaming, spam filtering, networking and video game systems.
Before joining Perkins Coie, Antoine clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. He also served as a public defender, where he litigated numerous criminal trials and appeals.
Prior to attending law school, Antoine studied computer science and worked as a software developer. In graduate school, he published papers in the preeminent journal for computer graphics research. He is a named inventor on a patent relating to computer animation.
