Ananth Iyengar Partner

Ananth Iyengar counsels clients in the life sciences, technology, consumer products and telecommunications industries on a variety of privacy and data protection matters. Ananth’s work has included managing the design, strategy and implementation of global privacy programs at multinational organizations, as well as drafting privacy policies and procedures, privacy program governance structures, cross-border data transfer mechanisms and data breach response procedures.

Ananth has also assisted clients in conducting domestic and global privacy assessments against data protection regulations in the Americas, EU, and Asia. Along with conducting privacy assessments, he has also developed regulatory gap remediation plans for clients to address improvement opportunities in a business-friendly manner and implementation strategies to minimize business disruptions created by regulatory compliance requirements.

While attending Washington University School of Law, Ananth served as a privacy law research assistant and worked for several organizations doing privacy work, including creating a HIPAA self-assessment protocol, reviewing privacy policies, evaluating marketing initiatives for compliance with data protection law and revising data protection addendums in enterprise contracts.
