Abigail Gardner is an associate in the firm’s Patent Litigation practice. She assists in both plaintiff- and defense-side patent and trade secret litigation across industries including aerospace, mobile gaming, industrial minerals, and LED lighting. She has participated in several district court jury trials, during which she crossed and directed fact and expert witnesses. Abigail’s experience taking a case through post-trial enables her to play an important role in case management, regularly leading offensive and defensive discovery efforts for her teams. She also has taken and defended numerous depositions of fact and expert witnesses. Abigail has extensive motion drafting knowledge and has argued multiple motions in court.
Abigail studied mathematics at Pomona College before earning her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where she was co-chair of the Intellectual Property Law Association and the student lead for the UCLA Law Women LEAD’s Network and Membership Committee. She worked as a patent litigation summer associate for the firm in both 2018 and 2019. Before law school, Abigail interned at Casa Cornelia Law Center supporting unaccompanied children seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) protection.
