Rodney Tullett’s passion for learning how things work is evident in his practice and help to clients obtaining intellectual property designed to withstand the toughest scrutiny. Rodney has over 20 years of intellectual property and patent law experience, with a particular depth in such technology areas as ultrasound, electronics, medical devices, semiconductors, software and radio communications.

In addition to assisting clients acquire and maintain their own U.S. and foreign patent portfolios, Rodney helps clients understand the potential risks that may be presented by the intellectual property of competitors during new product design and launch. Rodney works with engineers on potential design choices as well as advises on validity and enforceability issues to limit risk.

Beyond patent procurement, Rodney has represented numerous petitioners and patent owners in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. From initial petition preparation through discovery and trial, these proceedings have resulted in invalidated patents and claims, defeated the institution of IPR trials and strengthened clients’ litigation positions. Rodney works closely with patent litigation colleagues to provide clients with comprehensive intellectual property protections and counsel.
