Rebecca Eberhardt Partner

Attorney Rebecca A. Eberhardt practices in the areas of trust and estate planning, probate, wealth preservation, complex trust administration, philanthropic planning and family office management. She works with sophisticated individuals, families, executives and their advisors to establish and revise strategic approaches to cross-generational wealth transfer and other issues related to complex trusts, estates and personal wealth planning. In addition, Rebecca counsels corporate and individual fiduciaries in connection with the administration of trusts and estates.

Rebecca advises individuals and families on all aspects of estate planning, including creating tax efficient estate plans and preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other ancillary estate planning documents. In addition, she prepares and implements prenuptial agreements, structures and implements lifetime and testamentary transfers of wealth, and designs and implements family investment vehicles, including partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations. Rebecca’s work with family offices and their advisors includes reviews of insurance coverage, employee expectations and protocols and general office administration.

In her representation of corporate and individual fiduciaries administrating trusts and estates, Rebecca guides them on probate proceedings, fiduciary duties, generation-skipping transfer tax, state and federal estate tax and fiduciary income tax return preparation and audits, and judicial and non-judicial modification of irrevocable trusts. She also offers guidance on trust construction, accounting and termination proceedings.

Rebecca’s experience includes advising corporate clients and firm human resources departments on such issues as insurance and retirement benefits concerning deceased employees and updates to company retirement benefit plan language and estate planning forms.
