Rachel Shapiro focuses on strategic mergers and acquisitions, with experience in private and growth equity transactions, divestitures, debt financing, capital markets and corporate reorganizations. She has worked with clients in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on life sciences, consumer products, technology, and energy. She has also supported clients in all aspects of registration and reporting under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Deeply committed to pro bono work, Rachel has conducted internships with the Colorado State Public Defenders, the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law, and Lambda Legal. She has also been involved in various public advocacy matters, including 14th Amendment protection for LGBTQ persons and efforts to reduce mass incarceration.
