Manny represents leading and cutting-edge clients in some of their most challenging and important litigations. His practice focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property disputes in the financial, software, medical device and entertainment industries. Manny routinely enforces his clients’ rights under a wide variety of contracts, including merger agreements, acquisition agreements, licensing agreements, OEM agreements and employment agreements. He has litigated patent disputes in the fields of medical devices (including surgical implants and computerized instruments), software and networking, mobile devices and applications, and financial services.

Manny also has extensive experience protecting his clients’ trade secrets and defending their intellectual property rights. He has litigated multiple trade secret and restrictive covenant cases, including in the entertainment and insurance industries. Manny has litigated many business tort cases and has obtained favorable results for his clients in fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference and similar matters.

Manny is based in Perkins Coie’s New York office and has a wealth of experience with New York’s state and federal courts. In each of the past three years, he was recognized as a “Rising Star” in the New York Metropolitan market by Super Lawyers. Manny also appears in federal and state courts throughout the nation, as well as in domestic and international arbitration tribunals.

Manny is devoted to pro bono work, which led him to be recognized by the New York Bar Association as an Empire State Counsel Honoree for 2015. He also enjoys working with the next generation of lawyers by teaching CLE courses, working with law students to hone their skills and prepare for job interviews, and participating in the firm’s attorney development efforts.

Manny frequently advises clients regarding litigation preparation, document retention and preservation, and the methods, advantages and costs of e-discovery.
