Overview

Kimberly Harris-Browns supports clients through the preparation of wills, trusts, and gift tax returns; the use of gifts, sales, and other wealth-transfer strategies; and trust and estate administration, including intestate probate and guardianship proceedings.

Working closely with public charities and private foundations, Kimberly helps them establish themselves as corporate entities and tax-exempt charitable organizations. She also counsels them on best practices of and compliance with tax and governance-related matters.

In addition, Kimberly advises healthcare industry clients on regulatory compliance and transactional matters.

Prior to her career in law, Kimberly supported the operations, policy development, and community outreach of numerous municipalities and nonprofit organizations across the country, including the City of Wheaton, Illinois; City of Wichita, Kansas; Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Chicago; and City Year Los Angeles.
