Kelly Soldati Associate

Kelly counsels clients on complex litigation in matters involving insurance recovery, employment, and class action and other civil disputes. She also has experience in arbitration and a variety of civil litigation matters in state and federal courts. Kelly has prepared case strategy, performed legal analysis, drafted pleadings, built factual records, managed document productions and privilege logs, engaged in written discovery, briefed dispositive motions, negotiated settlements, and drafted settlement agreements.

Kelly maintains a robust pro bono practice. She recently advocated for Arizona prison inmates, resulting in a favorable settlement in a class action lawsuit alleging that the inmates received unconstitutional healthcare and conditions of confinement. She also serves individual veterans seeking to obtain well-earned benefits before the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR) and has appeared before the U.S. Immigration Court.

Before joining Perkins Coie, Kelly served as a logistics officer in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. She still maintains an active Top Secret security clearance. In college, Kelly earned a full athletic scholarship from the University of Notre Dame where she was a member of the school’s women’s volleyball team.

In law school Kelly served as a legal extern for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Chief Counsel, where she represented the IRS in U.S. Tax Court, prepared answers, motions, and tax court filings, and met with taxpayers to resolve and settle legal issues, as well as drafted legal recommendations to IRS field agents. She also served as a legal extern at the California Court of Appeal. As a law student, Kelly advocated for clients through UC Irvine School of Law’s Transgender Legal Clinic and the Veteran’s Legal Institute.
