Katie Bluestone has experience handling a broad range of real estate transactions, including negotiating agreements, drafting financing and property transfer documents, clearing title encumbrances, advising clients on their title transfer options and real estate tax considerations and representing clients at residential real estate closings. Katie also has extensive experience abstracting commercial lease agreements.
Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Katie was a member of the corporate services division of a large international law firm, where she conducted due diligence in a variety of matters, including commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, life sciences and intellectual property. Her contract analysis focused on issues regarding termination effects, option-triggering events, licensing fees, royalties and anti-stacking/kickback provisions, timeline and milestone payment requirements, governance, dispute resolution and noncompete provisions.
Katie also works with the firm’s E-Discovery Services & Strategy practice. She has experience in complex civil litigation, as well as conducting custodian interviews, and collecting, managing and producing large scale electronically stored information. She has drafted document review protocols, lead document review teams and drafted privilege logs in preparation for production.
