Eric A. Aaserud Senior Counsel



Eric Aaserud, an attorney in the Government Contracts practice, helps companies conduct business successfully with public sector entities throughout the world. He focuses on commercial item contracting, GSA Multiple Award Schedule contracting, small business contracting, bid protests, contract claims, audits and investigations, FOIA matters, and software and technical data rights counseling.

Eric has counseled companies in all phases of government contracting, including preparation of proposals for and negotiation of contracts with federal, state, and local customers and prime contractors. He also represents companies in mergers and acquisitions involving government contract issues. At the international level, he provides due diligence counseling to a leading cloud solutions provider entering government markets in Europe, Africa, and South America.

Outside of the office, Eric is an avid writer and presenter. He presents on a variety of legal topics through such organizations as the Practising Law Institute, National Contract Management Association, and the ABA Section of International Law. In addition, he has published numerous law articles in publications such as Law360 and The Procurement Lawyer, along with stories in such places as Gray’s Sporting Journal, Third Coast Magazine, and South Dakota Review.
