As an associate in the Political Law group, Courtney Weisman focuses her practice on the laws governing state and federal elections, issue advocacy and ethics. Courtney counsels federal and state candidates, members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, political parties, federal and state political action committees (PACs), nonprofit organizations and other political organizations.
A significant portion of her practice includes advising clients on compliance with Federal Election Commission (FEC) and state campaign finance laws and regulations. Courtney has also counseled clients on voter registration, voter protection strategies and post-election recounts. In addition, she regularly counsels sitting state and federal officeholders on compliance with ethics and gift rules.
