EB-5 Project Financing

  • Represented national bank on multiple loans to EB-5 project developers.

Credit Enhanced Bond Financing

  • Represented letter of credit banks in connection with $7 million and $81 million bond transactions.
  • Represented letter of credit banks in a $56.7 million bond transaction financing construction of a continuing care retirement community located in Washington.
  • Represented letter of credit banks in $28.5 million and $24.3 million bond transactions refinancing development costs of certain senior assisted living communities in Washington.

New Markets Tax Credit Financing (NMTC)

  • Represented leverage lenders in multiple NMTC transactions to finance construction of an energy efficient commercial building in Seattle, Washington, and rehabilitation of a historic building in Spokane, Washington.

Fishing Vessel Financing and Purchase Transactions

  • Represented fishing company in a $75 million syndicated senior secured credit facility, consisting of a $13 million revolving loan and $62 million term loan, secured by substantially all of the company’s assets, including marine mortgages on fishing vessels and their associated fishing rights.
  • Represented agent bank in a $250 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to a marine construction and dredging company.
  • Represented agent bank in a $400 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to a seafood processor secured by marine mortgages on fishing vessels, associated fishing rights, and real property.
  • Represented purchaser in connection with the purchase of a 55’ schooner.
  • Represented purchaser in connection with the construction financing and purchase of a Viking yacht.

  • Represented construction lender in a $20 million construction loan to build a multifamily apartment complex consisting of 182 apartment units, clubhouse, garages, carports, and outside parking in Spokane, Washington.
  • Represented agent bank in a $95 million construction loan to construct a multiunit condominium complex in Seattle, Washington.
  • Represented construction lender in a $41.6 million construction loan to build 19 three-story apartment buildings in a garden-style walkup apartment complex in Broomfield, Colorado.
  • Represented construction lender in a $40 million construction loan to build a mixed-use retail, office, and multifamily townhome space in Bellevue, Washington.
  • Represented construction lender in a $31.7 million construction loan to renovate a 48-room boutique hotel in Miami Beach, Florida.

Affordable and Senior Housing Finance

  • Represented construction lender in a $19.250 million construction loan to finance renovation of senior apartments in Washington serving low and moderate income seniors earning 60% of the area median income or less.
  • Represented construction lender in a $27 million construction loan to finance the development of 145 senior housing units and 30-unit standalone memory care building in Alabama.
