Alison Hunter has experience in state and federal courts working on a diverse array of litigation matters, including breach of contract, trade secrets, noncompetition agreements and other employment-related issues, class actions and commercial foreclosures. From pre-litigation demand letters and drafting pleadings to dispositive motion practice and appellate briefs, Alison has handled all aspects of litigation representation.
In addition to commercial litigation, Alison has advised clients in environmental and energy law matters, including Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) research, energy-related litigation and various state regulatory issues.
Alison worked as an extern for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho, where she prepared U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit appellate briefs, including briefing on one of the first constitutional challenges to the Safe Drinking Water Act. She also gained valuable experience and insight into the state court appellate system serving as a law clerk for Hon. Justice Roger Burdick of the Idaho Supreme Court for two years prior to joining Perkins Coie.
