The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is taking data security issues on the road and was in Seattle in early February for its third “Start with Security” roadshow. The FTC focused on how to build a data security culture, other data security issues for startups and early stage companies, impact on those who acquire or fund them, and the Internet of Things.

Either way, we’ve got you covered. Our Privacy & Security attorneys, joined by Saira Nayak, Chief Privacy Officer of TUNE and one of the panelists at the FTC workshop, will lead a discussion of:

• Top five “take aways” of the FTC workshop
• What does the FTC’s Start with Security initiative really mean? (Is it just “best practices,” or will you get in trouble if you don’t do what the FTC suggests?)
• Practical suggestions for what investors and founders should be thinking about regarding data security
