Partner Rebecca Engrav was quoted in the Puget Sound Business Journal* article, "Thought Leader Forum: Ethics of Business Artificial Intelligence," regarding her thoughts on the benefits and consequences of AI.

"Being able to work with many different clients means that we get to see myriad types and applications of AI. The most common benefits from successful introductions of AI are increased scale, speed, and process consistency, all of which can lead to great cost reductions. An example would be to use AI in place of the manual collection, recording, and analyzing of data which greatly reduces the cost of labor and reduces or eliminates room for error. On the flip side, how do you make sure it’s accurate and safe? Automation introduced during the Industrial Revolution resulted in the same benefits AI delivers today – scale, consistency, accuracy, decreased costs. However, these advances also incurred human costs, like deaths resulting from unsafe factories. AI is no different from any other significant new technology. The question is always how can we increase the benefits and decrease the harms?"
