PORTLAND, Ore. (February 13, 2014) -- Dana Krawczuk, senior counsel in Perkins Coie’s Real Estate & Land Use practice, has been recognized by the Portland Business Journal in its 2014 class of “Forty Under 40.” The award was presented at a luncheon on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Nines Hotel in Portland. The event and recognition honors young influential business leaders who have excelled in their field and are dedicated to their community.
Professional appreciation for Dana includes the Volunteer Award (2011) from the Public Affairs Committee, PBA Land Use Task Force and recognition for several years as an Oregon Super Lawyers “Rising Star” (2010, 2012 - 2013). Her professional leadership roles include several positions with the Oregon Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP): Board Member on Commercial Real Estate Development Committee (2007 - 2013), Vice Chair of the Public Affairs Committee (2010) and Chair of the Public Affairs Committee (2011 - 2012).
Dana has also been associated locally with the Metro Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC), as a Commercial/Industrial Representative (2011 - 2013); a Frequent Development Review Representative to the City of Portland Development Review Advisory Committee (DRAC) (2011 - present) and Downtown Development Representative with City of Portland Regulatory Improvement Stakeholder Advisory Team (RISAT) (2005 - 2009).
In her practice, Dana represents clients in a number of high-profile land use and annexation cases that have helped shape the law of the region. Dana counsels residential, commercial and industrial clients in all phases of land use entitlement processes, including annexation, zoning and comprehensive plan amendments, master plans, infrastructure planning and financing, development agreements, tentative and final plat approvals for land divisions, systems development charge (SDC) credit applications, design review, floor area ratio (FAR) conveyances, site plan review, nonconforming use expansions, enforcement proceedings, urban growth boundary (UGB) expansions and appeals to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA), Oregon Court of Appeals and Oregon Supreme Court.
