SEATTLE, WA (March 28, 2019) – Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Law360 as one of the firms that “crushed it” in patent cases decided by the Federal Circuit in 2018.

With an 11–2 win–loss record, Perkins Coie captured the highest win percentage of all ranked firms with an 85% success rate and ranked third in total victories. This is the third straight year that Perkins Coie was featured on Law360’s list of top Federal Circuit patent firms.

Law360’s annual report considers all decisions by the Federal Circuit in patent cases, including disputes that originated in federal district courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the U.S. International Trade Commission. The report highlights leading national firms that scored at least seven wins during the calendar year. Cases are counted only when an attorney from the firm argued before the Federal Circuit.

“We are pleased to be recognized for the third year in a row for our successful patent appellate work on behalf of our high tech and pharmaceutical clients,” said Shannon Bloodworth, firmwide co-chair of Perkins Coie’s Intellectual Property practice. “Our success reflects the hard work and dedication of our talented patent appellate lawyers and was made possible by the support of sophisticated clients that appreciate the value our lawyers add. We are committed to expanding our deep bench of appellate talent and recently hired former USPTO Solicitor Nate Kelley, a renowned patent appellate attorney, to bolster our ranks. We are proud that Perkins Coie has become a destination firm for both clients and top patent practitioners.”
