Perkins Coie was awarded Top Tier 1 rankings by ALB for its patent and trademark work in the annual survey, which tracks the top law firms engaged in IP work across Asia. According to the ALB, China receives the largest number of patent and trademark applications filed worldwide, in part as Asian companies expand outside the region and use global law firms to register their IP rights abroad, negotiate and close licensing agreements and work on infringement cases, among others.

Perkins Coie’s China IP practice is led by Partner Scott Palmer, with Counsel Yingli Wang leading the Shanghai patent team.
