PHOENIX (October 9, 2018) - Perkins Coie Partner Shane R. Swindle has been elected as a Fellow to the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL). He received the honor at ACOEL’s annual conference at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on October 4, 2018.

Shane, who was nominated by his peers for his outstanding work and achievements, joins 24 other newly elected Fellows and two Honorary Fellows for the year 2018. ACOEL conducts a rigorous vetting process of hundreds of attorneys, searching for the top environment lawyers in the country. Shane, who is based in Perkins Coie’s Phoenix office, joins fellow Perkins Coie partners Eric Fjelstad (Anchorage), Chris Thomas (Phoenix) and Mark Schneider (Seattle), who are also members of ACOEL.

Shane’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, particularly environment, contract and insurance coverage disputes. He also advises clients on environmental, contract and insurance coverage issues for business planning purposes. Shane was ranked by Chambers USA as one of “America’s Leading Environmental Lawyers” in 2017-2018 and listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 2003 to the present for his work in commercial litigation and environmental law.

ACOEL is a professional association of distinguished lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law.
