NEW YORK (May 15, 2019) - Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Gene Lee, a partner in the firm’s Patent Litigation practice, was appointed to the New York Intellectual Property Law Association’s (NYIPLA) Board of Directors at the 2019 Annual Meeting held on May 14, 2019.

NYIPLA works to promote the development and administration of intellectual property interests. It seeks to educate attorneys and the public and works with foreign associations to harmonize the international conventions for the protection of intellectual property. The association’s current membership exceeds 1,500 intellectual property attorneys practicing across the United States and overseas.

Gene is an experienced lead counsel in patent litigations before federal courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the United States International Trade Commission (ITC). He regularly handles Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) trials and other adversarial proceedings before the USPTO, as well as various trade secret, copyright, trademark and unfair competition matters. In addition to his litigation practice, Gene advises clients on licensing, patent portfolio analysis and the IP aspects of corporate transactions.
