CFTC Adopts New Rules on Real-Time Reporting of Swap Transaction Data

On Monday, January 9, 2012, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission adopted final rules to implement a framework for the real-time public reporting of swap transaction and pricing data for all swap transactions.  The new rules are adopted pursuant to Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act as it modified the Commodity Exchange Act.
