Barak Cohen was quoted in The Financial Times article, “Robert Mueller Names Grand Jury in Trump-Russia Probe,” regarding the grand jury convened by Robert Mueller to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion with President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election has intensified with the naming of a Washington grand jury, US media reported on Thursday. “You don’t open a grand jury just to open a grand jury,” said Barak Cohen, a former federal prosecutor.

“You need a certain amount of evidence that a crime has occurred.”

“It could go on for a year,” said Mr. Cohen. “I think this is going to be a lengthy process. [Mr Mueller is] being careful. There’s a lot to look at.”
