Perkins Coie LLP has an immediate opening for a Paralegal Assistant to support our Personal Planning Group. The Paralegal Assistant must demonstrate an increased level of technical understanding of legal tasks and procedures related to entity formation and operations. 

Primary Job Responsibilities Include:

Prepares basic corporate organizational documents for limited liability companies and nonprofit corporations and for-profit corporations in multiple jurisdictions.

Creates original and duplicate nonprofit corporation minute books and other entity record books.

Keeps both physical and electronic record/minute books up to date.

Prepares draft correspondence with state and federal agencies.

Prepares and files annual reports for filing with various Secretaries of State.

Prepares distribution of documents for execution.

Prepares mailings of completed documents to clients.

Specific Skills Required:

Strong word processing and related technical skills, ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing.  Ability to handle multiple concurrent deadlines and work well under pressure.  Ability to establish effective working relationships with Firm lawyers and staff, client personnel and other professionals including responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner.  Independently prioritize and organize workflow, possess strong attention to detail and display initiative.  Demonstrates ability to exercise limited discretion and independent judgment. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent client service.

Education & Experience:

Requires a high school diploma and a bachelor’s degree preferred with 1 year of experience.
