Perkins Coie LLP has a full-time position opening for a Library Technician in our Seattle office.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (37.5 hours per week).
Primary responsibilities are to review and check in incoming library materials. Other duties include shelving, filing, interlibrary loan processing, and shipping as well as other duties as assigned. This position communicates with librarians, attorneys, and staff in multiple offices as well as external service providers.
Successful candidates must have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high volume work setting; work independently with minimal supervision; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; coordinate work activities in a team environment; perform highly detailed tasks with a minimum of error. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
Qualified applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience in a customer-centered support position within a library, law firm or office setting; and a degree from a 2 or 4 year college or university; demonstrated proficiency with standard PC applications such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook. Desirable experience or knowledge includes experience with an integrated library system (SydneyEnterprise preferred), online bibliographic databases, and database applications, as well as familiarity with legal materials and citation formats.
