Experience has taught us that few manufacturers have a comprehensive program to minimize their product liability exposure.

The Washington legal community is raising funds to create the Washington Lawyers Care for Children Endowment to benefit critically ill children at Children’s National.  This Endowment will ensure that Children’s National continues its mission of providing the best care to all children, regardless of ability to pay.

In the past 19 years, more than 750 companies have sent employees to a Perkins Coie Product Liability Workshop.  

The DC office of Perkins Coie is a sponsor of the 8th annual DC Lawyers for Children's National Medical Center Golf Classic. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 22nd at the Worthington Manor Golf Club in Frederick, MD. The course, 35 miles from the Beltway, is one of Maryland’s finest golf facilities and proud host of the 1999, 2000, 2004, and 2006 U.S. Open Qualifiers and the 2001 and 2002 U.S. Open Amateur Qualifiers.

This timely conference explored different cloud computing service models and the challenges they pose to traditional concepts of data ownership and control, contractual rights, privacy and security, law enforcement, copyrights and trademarks and conflicts of law.  Perkins Coie's Barry Reingold, co-chair of this year's Cloud Computing seminar, presented on "Data Maintained In, and Moving Between, Different National Jurisdictions: Differences in the Law and the Resulting Importance of Jurisdictional Issues" and Thomas Bell presented on "Putting it All Together: Working Through Key Terms in B2B Cloud Service Contracts".

Robert Bauer and Rebecca Gordon spoke at this seminar where high-level officials from the Federal Elections Commission, Department of Justice, and Congressional ethics committees, as well as expert private practitioners, explained how to comply with the laws at all government levels regulating political and lobbying activities.

Partner Don Friedman spoke at this  teleconference which analyzed the contrasting Supreme Court decisions of the cases Hall Street and Cable Connection, and covered best practices for drafting arbitration agreements to maximize the option of expanded judicial review of arbitration awards.
