Victoria Q. Smith is a counsel with the firm's Patent Litigation practice. She is experienced in litigating patent and other intellectual property rights in the telecommunications, biotech, electronics, and software fields, including technology related to cellular devices, data encryption and compression, pharmaceuticals, and enterprise software. Victoria has practiced before the federal district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the California Superior Courts. Victoria's pro bono experience includes representing a non-profit organization in an eviction case that resulted in the organization regaining use of its halfway house to assist those in need, and representing an individual in an employment case for unpaid wages that resulted in recovery of the full wage award as well as an additional judgment for interest and costs.
