Tom Lindley Selected for Smithsonian Environmental Research Center’s Advisory Board

PORTLAND, ORE. (July 20, 2007) Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Partner Tom Lindley has been appointed by the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution to the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC). SERC leads the nation in research on linkages of land and water ecosystems in coastal zones, where 70 percent of the world's population lives, works and plays. An international leader in watershed research and the flow of nutrients through coastal landscapes, wetlands and riparian ecosystems, SERC provides knowledge to meet environmental challenges in the 21st century. Its programs include the world’s longest-running field experiment on atmospheric increases in CO2 as it affects plant communities, acid rain and its impacts, and research on biological invasions of marine ecosystems.

Tom Lindley is the national practice group leader for Perkins Coie’s Environment, Energy & Resources practice. He has more than 25 years’ experience with water and air quality issues and strategy, environmental and natural resource matters, and litigation.
