The Convocation on Equality

This hallmark event, sponsored by the Oregon State Bar Diversity Section, the Oregon State Bar, Specialty Bars, and numerous law firms, is a significant initiative designed to explore diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. The 2011 Convocation on Equality marks the 10 year anniversary of the first Convocation on Equality, held in 2001. While the first Convocation focused primarily on the status of racially and ethnically diverse lawyers in Oregon, the current event will take a broader approach, to further explore the dynamics of gender, sexual orientation and disability in the legal profession.

Much more than a CLE program, this conference will feature programming designed to benefit individuals with all levels of experience and diversity-related involvement, with the hope of strengthening the broad base of support for diversity in the Oregon bar. Three separate tracks of programming, at least 5.5 MCLE credits, will be available.
