Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 7, 2011) – Perkins Coie is proud to announce that Washington, D.C. Insurance Coverage partner Selena Linde has just been named one of the 2012 Women Worth Watching award winners by Profiles in Diversity Journal.

She was one of the business executives chosen across all industries nationwide and is featured in the September/October 2011 Profiles in Diversity Journal issue. The issue is dedicated to recognizing accomplished women executives across the country along with the companies that allow them to succeed and continue to push the envelope.

“Selena is a natural leader and mentor to the attorneys and staff around her. She is always eager to learn from her colleagues and to mentor others at all levels and departments,” says Bill Malley, Washington, D.C. managing partner. “It is no surprise that she has made this list of distinguished women and we are looking forward to all of her great work to come.”

Linde is an Insurance Coverage partner in the Washington, D.C. office. Her practice is focused on representing corporate policyholders in a wide variety of insurance coverage cases that involve environmental liability, directors and officers liability, fraud, employee dishonesty, asbestos, products liability, business interruption, first-party property, trademark infringement, subprime auto loan risk default insurance and bad faith. Throughout her career, she has successfully recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for her clients. Linde is a frequent speaker on insurance coverage issues and regularly presents for organizations including the Association of Corporate Counsel, HB Litigation and LEXIS.

“Selena’s high caliber of work, commitment to her clients and dedication to learning and mentorship are all reasons why we were pleased to have her join the firm only a few short months ago,” says Tim Burns, firmwide Insurance Coverage practice chair. “She is a pioneer in the business world and I am truly honored to share a practice with her.”
