SEATTLE (July 2, 2007)
– Perkins Coie proudly announces that once again it has been ranked by Chambers & Partners, publishers of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, as a top law firm in the United States. The firm was recognized in the annual directory as a leader in its Corporate/M&A, Corporate/Commercial Tax, Environment, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Labor & Employment, Litigation and Real Estate practices in Seattle.

The firm was also recognized with top practice area rankings in other key markets across the country, including Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, and Oregon. The rankings are the result of extensive surveys of in-house counsel and leading law firm partners.

This year, 23 attorneys from the firm’s Seattle office were recognized as top lawyers in their respective practice areas.

Stewart Landefeld, Andrew Bor, Evelyn Cruz and David McShea were ranked for their Corporate/Commercial practices. Carl Crow and Bryan Smith were ranked for their Corporate/Commercial Tax practice. Mark Schneider was ranked for his Environmental practice, and Gregory McCall for his Immigration practice. Jerry Riedinger, Ramsey Al-Salam and Paul Parker were ranked for their Intellectual Property practice. Chambers ranked Nancy Williams, Russell Perisho, Bruce Michael Cross, Jeff Hollingsworth and John Aslin for their Labor & Employment practice. Litigators David Burman and Harry Schneider Jr. received high ranks for their Litigation practice. Finally, Michael Barrett, Craig Shrontz, Ellen Dial and William Green were ranked for their Real Estate practice.

“We are proud of our colleagues who have been recognized for the outstanding work that they do,” said Nancy Williams, newly appointed Seattle managing partner. “We owe all of our achievements to our great clients who provide us with interesting and challenging work."

In addition to its regional rankings, Perkins Coie was also recognized nationally for its Political Law, Hospitality, and Retail industry groups. The firm's Aviation Litigation practice, and John Dillow in Seattle, were also recognized nationally.

Chambers & Partners, based in London, publishes directories that assess and rank the world’s leading lawyers. Chambers USA was first introduced in 2003.
