Rocío Cristina García is an associate in the firm's Real Estate & Land Use practice and focuses her practice on commercial real estate. She has experience working with special servicers on various matters, including pooling and servicing agreement compliance and review, loan sales, real estate workouts, foreclosure sales, and other CMBS servicing issues. She also has experience in real estate disposition, including hotel transactions and REO property, and commercial leasing. As a supporter of access to justice, she is heavily involved in public service and pro bono efforts in Dallas. In February 2013, she and Steve Smith, with the assistance of Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, obtained asylum for a Coptic Christian pro bono client who fled from his native country of Egypt based on religious persecution.
