Peter G. Lawrence

Peter Lawrence, a partner in the firm’s national Business Practice Group, focuses on the representation of private equity funds, private businesses and public companies in the middle market.  Peter’s practice emphasizes mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, the formation of private equity funds and other pooled investment vehicles, joint ventures and corporate governance.  His transactional experience encompasses a number of industries and market segments, including manufacturing, health care, education, retail, energy, technology, distribution, logistic services, financial services, lodging and forestry.

Peter represents several leading private equity firms with respect to their investments in portfolio companies and the formation of their domestic and offshore funds.  He also represents private equity portfolio companies with respect to their mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, finance and corporate governance matters.  In addition, Peter represents limited partners with respect to their investments in private equity funds and other pooled investment vehicles.

Peter also represents public companies with respect to their mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and corporate governance matters.  Additionally, he works with family-owned businesses with respect to their sale and recapitalization transactions and corporate governance matters.
