Perkins Coie's Privacy & Security Group Climbs the Chambers Ranks

Perkins Coie's National Privacy & Security practice was again recognized by Chambers USA, this year climbing to Band 2.

Chambers cited "much positive feedback from clients and competitors alike" in boosting the group's rankings, and noted that "[t]he group offers a complete service in privacy matters and operates in a variety of sectors from retail to telecommunications" from "a wide geographical spread with offices in Washington, DC and Seattle." Chambers also noted that Perkins Coie's client roster includes industry giants such as Google, Facebook and Twitter and that "[n]umerous clients rely on the team for advice on cutting-edge issues in the privacy world."

In addition to the group as a whole gaining recognition, Albert Gidari and Michael Sussmann were individually recognized. Gidari was cited for his vast experience and in-depth knowledge of privacy matters, as well as his focus on online data security, electronic surveillance and communications law. Sussmann was cited for a range of areas including privacy law compliance and counseling clients on cyber attacks and other Internet crime, and for being particularly active in the telecommunications and social networking sectors.
