Perkins Coie's Michele Rowland Named Up-and-Coming Lawyer

DENVER (September 27, 2007) – Perkins Coie announced today that Denver attorney Michele Rowland has been named to Law Week Colorado's first list of up-and-coming lawyers. Those named to the list were recognized for their impact on Denver's legal community and the contributions they have made to their profession.
Rowland, an associate in the firm's national Business practice, was recognized for her work with large and middle market companies, private equity funds, entrepreneurs and portfolio companies. She has closed more than $1.5 billion in private equity and financing transactions in the past 24 months. She also serves on a variety of charitable and community boards.

Rowland advises clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, private placements, senior and subordinated debt financings, corporate restructurings and workouts, entity formation, formation fund, and general corporate matters. Her experience covers a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, professional services, consumer products, real estate, electrical contracting, media and publishing, hotel and gaming, and employment staffing.
She has been recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a leader in the Denver business community, being named a candidate for the "Outstanding Women in Business" in both 2006 and 2007.
