Perkins Coie's Lindley Elected President of SOLV

PORTLAND, ORE. (January 11, 2005) Perkins Coie Partner Tom Lindley has been elected to serve as President for SOLV, a non-profit organization that brings together government agencies, businesses and citizen volunteers to build community and enhance the livability of Oregon. SOLV was established in 1969 by Governor Tom McCall and other community leaders.

Lindley's experience includes water, air, solid and hazardous waste permits; water quality and rights; site investigations; remediation and cost recovery and other litigation. Lindley is listed in Best Lawyers in America.

SOLV annually provides resources to more than 250 Oregon communities, focusing on cleanup, beautification and enhancement projects. SOLV creates an average of 85,000 volunteer opportunities across the state. Since 1997, SOLV has provided an estimated $60,000,000 in service to Oregon.

SOLV's many programs include the Spring and Fall Beach Cleanups, INTEL-SOLV Clean & Green, Down By the Riverside, K-16 Education, Volunteer Action Training, and more. SOLV's budget for 2005 is over $2 million.
