Perkins Coie's Hedberg Recertified in Creditors' Rights Law and Business Bankruptcy Law

Press Release

PORTLAND, ORE. (August 5, 2004) The American Board of Certification announced that Steven M. Hedberg, managing partner of Perkins Coie's Portland office, has successfully completed the requirements for recertification in both creditors' rights law and business bankruptcy law. Hedberg is the only attorney in Oregon to meet the rigorous requirements to receive the creditors' rights law certification. He is also the only attorney in Oregon, Washington and California to hold both the business bankruptcy law and creditors' rights law certifications.

Hedberg's practice over the past 20 years has included insolvency and bankruptcy matters, workouts, creditors' rights and related litigation, and troubled mergers and acquisitions. He has been a partner with Perkins Coie since 1992 and has extensively represented debtors in possession, creditors (both secured and unsecured) and unsecured creditors committees in bankruptcy cases, and has counseled both debtor and creditor clients through numerous out-of-court restructurings.

The American Board of Certification (ABC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditors' rights bars. The ABC is co-sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Commercial Law League of America.
