Perkins Coie Ranked Among Top in Nation for Volume of Trademark, Patent and Copyright Cases Filed

SEATTLE (September 7, 2006) – Perkins Coie is proud to announce that it has been ranked among the top 10 firms in the country for trademark, patent and copyright cases filed within the past year.

In a survey just released by IP Law360, Perkins Coie ranked third in the nation, out of 250 of the country's largest law firms, for the largest number of trademark and copyright cases filed within the past year. A similar survey conducted by the magazine ranked the firm ninth in its patent case filings over the past year. Perkins Coie was one of only three firms to make the top 10 list for being the most frequently hired law firm in all three areas—trademark, patent and copyright cases.

The rankings are based on trademark, patent and copyright lawsuits filed within a 12-month period as reflected by U.S. District Court and Circuit Court dockets. The largest 250 law firms in the country are surveyed for the number of new cases during the past year in which they were involved.
